The Accessibility Exceptions Tool is a Chrome extension that provides an interactive decision tool to help users understand whether certain public-facing digital content may be required to meet WCAG 2.1 AA under the U.S. Department of Justice Title II web accessibility rule, and whether a limited exception may apply.
Information we collect
- We do not collect, store, sell, or share personal information.
- We do not collect browsing history, website content, or form inputs.
How the extension works
- The tool runs locally in your browser as an extension page (e.g., chrome-extension://…/index.html).
- Your selections within the decision tool are processed locally and are not transmitted to any server.
Feedback feature
If you choose to submit feedback, the extension opens a draft email in your default email application using a “mailto” link.
- The extension itself does not send email.
- The email is sent only if you choose to send it from your email client.
Third-party services
The extension does not use analytics, advertising, trackers, or third-party scripts.
Data retention
Because we do not collect or store data, there is no data retention.

VPAT Express is a cloud-based tool that helps users document accessibility testing results and create an Accessibility Conformance Report aligned to WCAG 2.1 AA and WCAG 2.2 AA.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to create and manage your VPAT Express account and assessment. This may include:
- Name
- Email address and login password
- Organization website
- URLs you want to test
- Testing progress and testing results you enter during manual testing
- Reports generated in the tool, including ACRs
We do not sell your information.
Payments
Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card information.
How VPAT Express works
VPAT Express stores your assessment information under your user account in the cloud so you can:
- Save progress as you work
- Document automated and manual testing results
- Map findings to WCAG criteria
- Generate and export your reports
Who can access your information
Your VPAT Express information is available to:
- Authorized users on your account
- Unity Accessibility team members only if needed to provide support or services you request
Third-party services
VPAT Express uses third-party services only as needed to operate the tool (for example, payment processing). We do not use advertising trackers inside VPAT Express.
Data retention
We store your testing data and ACRs for a set timeframe based on your purchased tier. After that timeframe, your data may be deleted or removed from the tool.

Unity QuickCheck is a free Chrome extension that helps you spot accessibility and content quality issues on a live web page. It runs as a side panel and checks the page you are viewing.

Your results are shown in the side panel and may be highlighted on the page to help you find issues.
